How to Use Meta Muse with 2Slides to Make PowerPoint Decks (2026)
Quick answer (≤60 words): Muse's own file outputs don't include PPTX. To get real PowerPoint decks, ask Muse to create a Custom Connector for 2Slides, point it at
https://2slides.com/api.md, and give it your 2Slides API key when it asks so the key goes into Muse's Secure Credentials Store. Muse then returns an editable.pptxdownload link.
Meta announced Muse on September 8, 2026. It's a personal AI agent that runs on its own "Muse Secure VM," keeps working after you close the app, and is rolling out in the US on iOS, Android and muse.ai. Muse can draft documents, build spreadsheets and research topics. PowerPoint, however, is not among the file types Meta documents for it as of today.
This guide shows how to connect Muse to 2Slides, and is clear about which parts Meta has documented and which parts are still unknown.

Because the REST API is the most clearly documented route, this guide uses it as the primary path, with the 2Slides MCP endpoint as an optional extra.
Why Muse plus 2Slides?
Muse's native outputs are listed as documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown), spreadsheets (XLSX, CSV), images and web tools. Presentations aren't on that list. 2Slides fills that gap:
- Fast PPT: a real, editable
.pptxbuilt on one of 1,500+ themes, at 10 credits per page. - Nano Banana slides: image-designed slides delivered as a PDF, with optional AI voice narration.
Muse writes the storyline from your notes, email or research. 2Slides renders the deck, and Muse hands you the link.
What you need first
- Muse on iOS, Android or muse.ai (US rollout). Meta lists a free tier plus paid Power ($20/month) and Maximum ($100/month) plans; the subscriptions are in limited testing. Custom connectors aren't documented as plan-gated, but availability may vary during rollout.
- A 2Slides API key from 2slides.com/api. Keys look like
sk-2slides-.... New accounts get 500 free credits, enough for 50 Fast PPT pages.
Step 1: Ask Muse to create a 2Slides Custom Connector
Open a chat with Muse and paste this:

When you need my API key, ask me for it through your secure credential flow so it
is stored in your Secure Credentials Store, not kept in this chat. Then run a test:
search themes for "minimal" with a limit of 3 and show me the themeIds.What should happen: Meta says Muse "will guide you through the process," which can include retrieving API information from the service. Muse reads the 2Slides docs, sets up the connector, and asks for your key. When it does, provide the key through the credential prompt Muse offers.
Security note: Meta doesn't review custom connectors, so you're responsible for what you connect. The 2Slides key only spends 2Slides credits; it can't access your email or other accounts. Avoid pasting the key as a normal chat message if Muse offers a credential prompt, and never share screenshots that show it. If it leaks, rotate it at 2slides.com/api. You can disconnect the connector at any time under Settings → Connectors.
Checkpoint: if Muse returns real theme IDs from the test search, the connector works. If it says it can't reach the API, ask it to show the exact request it sent and the response. The usual problems are a missing Bearer prefix or a truncated key.
Step 2: Generate your first deck
Using the 2Slides connector: turn my notes on the spring product launch into a
10-slide deck. Search for a clean "business" theme, then call POST /slides/generate
with mode "sync" and responseLanguage "English". Give me the download link
immediately (it expires after 1 hour), and save a copy of the .pptx to my Library
if you can.2Slides download links expire after 1 hour. Ask Muse to hand the link over straight away. Muse saves the files it generates to your Library, but its artifact list doesn't mention PPTX, so whether it can store a downloaded .pptx there isn't documented. Treat the link as the reliable delivery path.

2Slides also runs a hosted MCP server (Streamable HTTP) at https://2slides.com/api/mcp. It accepts a Bearer header or a key in the URL (?apikey=), and doesn't use OAuth. Meta hasn't documented MCP support for Muse connectors, but a third party reported that Muse built a working client from an MCP URL. If you want to try it:

The future path: the Muse Connector Platform
Meta runs a developer directory at muse.ai/platform. Developers describe their product, submit it for review, and the connector appears in the directory once approved. Review covers functional, security and legal requirements, plus end-to-end testing. Once a listed 2Slides connector exists, you'd connect it from Settings → Connectors like Gmail, without building a custom connector. As of September 30, 2026, there's no listed 2Slides connector, so use the custom-connector route above.
For developers: Muse Code (terminal tool)
Muse Code is Meta's separate terminal coding tool, not the Muse consumer app. According to Meta's docs, it supports both Agent Skills and MCP servers:

Troubleshooting
- Muse says it can't create connectors. Muse is still rolling out, so features may not be on every account yet. Try the exact prompt above, or ask Muse "How do I create a Custom Connector?"
- 401 / unauthorized. The header must be
Authorization: Bearer sk-2slides-.... Ask Muse to re-enter the key from the credential store. - Link opens to an error.
downloadUrlexpires after 1 hour. Ask Muse to regenerate the deck or re-poll the job. - Job stays "pending". Nano Banana and narration jobs are async. Poll
GET /jobs/{id}every 20–30 seconds, for up to about 3 minutes. - Out of credits. Top up at 2slides.com/pricing. Credits are pay-as-you-go and never expire.
Frequently asked questions
Can Meta Muse make PowerPoint presentations?
Not natively as of September 30, 2026. Muse's documented file types are PDF, DOCX, TXT, Markdown, XLSX, CSV, images, code and web tools, with no PPTX. With a 2Slides Custom Connector, Muse can generate an editable .pptx and give you the download link.
Does Meta Muse support MCP servers?
Meta hasn't documented MCP support for the Muse app's connectors. One third-party report says Muse built a client from an MCP URL, but Meta hasn't confirmed it. The REST-based Custom Connector is the documented route. Muse Code, the separate terminal tool, does document MCP support (stdio and streamable_http).
Is it safe to give Muse my 2Slides API key?

Can Muse deliver the file instead of a link?
