How to Use QwenWork with 2Slides: MCP Connector + Skill (2026)

• 2Slides handles the rendering. It turns that outline into a themed, editable PowerPoint (Fast PPT, 10 credits per page) or a fully designed image deck (100 credits per page at 1K/2K).
• Same deck, fewer steps. Because QwenWork returns files into the channel the request came from, a deck you ask for in DingTalk can come back to that DingTalk chat.

What you need first

1. The QwenWork desktop client. The connector docs describe the desktop client (QwenWork 桌面客户端). They don't mention adding custom connectors on the web.
2. A 2Slides API key from 2slides.com/api. Keys look like sk-2slides-.... New accounts get 500 free credits, which covers 50 Fast PPT pages.
3. Node.js, only if you choose the local stdio method (Method 2).

Method 1: Paste JSON (recommended)

Generate your first deck

QwenWork should call themes_search, then slides_generate (Fast PPT), then return a downloadUrl for the .pptx. In our production test, a 3-page Fast PPT deck came back in about 22 seconds. The download link expires after 1 hour, so ask QwenWork to download and save the file (for example, "save it to my Desktop") rather than keeping only the link.

For designed image slides, ask for "custom designed slides". QwenWork will use slides_create_pdf_slides and poll jobs_get every 20 to 30 seconds. These jobs usually take 1 to 3 minutes.

Use cases that fit QwenWork

Ask from DingTalk or WeChat, get the deck back in chat. QwenWork can return PPT, PDF and other files into the channel a request came from. Send "Make a 6-slide customer update from last week's notes" from your phone, and the finished file comes back to that chat. One caveat: custom connectors are configured in the desktop client, and QwenWork doesn't document whether tasks started from an IM channel can use them. Test once with a small deck before you rely on it.

Scheduled decks. QwenWork has two kinds of scheduled task:

• Desktop scheduled tasks (sidebar 定时任务 → + 新建定时任务, or just say "turn this into a task that runs every Monday at 9am").
